the best exhibition-arrangement, the whole story-telling, the installation, the music in different rooms, the light, the sound, the elevator.. I understand why camera is not allowed there,

Great way to glimpse Hungary's history w/ authoritarian regimes. Cold basement w/ prisons gives a realistic sense of what went on here. Audio tour is good; ongoing music & visuals overwhelm at times.

Fabulous place! You get special price for students but you have to be patient with exhibition which is in hungarian language. They have only sheets of information in English.

I wish I had left this to the last day of my trip as it left me unnerved for days. The horrors the Hungarian people have faced and the resilience they have shown deserve to be honoured by visiting here

Fantastic, striking museum. Set aside the whole afternoon to ensure you aren't rushed. Get the audio tour if you don't want to read an A4 sheet of paper in every room.
