Venne edificata nel 1098 e accoglie le ceneri di San Giovanni Battista, il patrono della città. Di grande bellezza, è molto importante per il Museo del Tesoro e del Museo Diocesano.

Esta Catedral es impresionante. Si estás en Génova definitivamente tienes que entrar. Indispensable llegar con ropa apropiada (vestido o pantalones no muy cortos y mujeres no escote o sin mangas)
